The Marketing Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Senior Community Engagement Manager, and is part of the Development & Marketing team at BAGLY. In this role, you will help develop, implement, and measure BAGLY’s annual marketing and communications plan. You will assist in creating BAGLY’s outward-facing communications, including the organization’s social media channels, website, branded merchandise, donor communications, and the marketing of its programs and events. You will also work closely with your peers, colleagues, and youth program participants to raise BAGLY’s profile and articulate BAGLY’s mission and impact.

This position will operate out of the BAGLY office in downtown Boston, MA. Work-from-home hybrid arrangements will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Successful applicants will live within reasonable commuting distance from BAGLY’s Community Center, or be willing to relocate. This position requires occasional travel inside the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Website
    • Consistently update and improve BAGLY’s website in order to increase program participation and donor engagement.
  • Social Media
    • Support BAGLY’s digital presence by maintaining a consistent social media cadence, creating engaging photo and video content, and collaborating across teams to drive program participation, donor engagement, and peer-to-peer fundraising, while tracking performance metrics and staying current with emerging platforms.
  • Email
    • Support BAGLY’s email marketing and communications plan by helping to design, write, and schedule mission-focused emails meant to encourage engagement, support, and participation from a wide range of audiences, while tracking performance metrics.
  • Community Engagement
    • Partner closely with the D&M team to support all efforts of community collaboration, partnership development, donor stewardship, and youth outreach.
  • Organizational Responsibilities
    • While working closely with all colleagues and teams, this role will contribute to the continued growth and awareness of the organization by leveraging both external strategies (such as email, socials, merchandising, and outreach opportunities) and internal strategies (including continuous work across teams, proactive innovation, and creative expression).
    • Provide supervision and guidance to BAGLY’s team of content creators, and frequent collaboration with youth leaders and peer interns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but different combinations of work experience and education will be strongly considered.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively leveraging diverse communications platforms;
  • Strong attention to detail, especially concerning data entry, performance metrics, and external communications;
  • Interest in and ability to support fundraising efforts and communications;
  • Consistent excellence working with teams and in collaborative environments;
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate website hosts such as Squarespace;
  • Competently translate digital images for physical product design and printed collateral;
  • Consistent record of meeting non-negotiable deadlines;
  • Experience working with young people or other marginalized communities;
  • Ability to leverage events/news in real time to capitalize on trending topics.

Budgeted Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000
