About Cambridge Women's Center
Founded in 1971, the Cambridge Women's Center (CWC) is the oldest continuously running community center for women in the United States. We offer a welcoming and safe space for anyone for whom womanhood is a meaningful identifier or lived experience, providing opportunities for learning, emotional support, empathy, and empowerment through self-determination.
Our Drop-In Hours, held Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 1-6 PM, offer crucial support to our community. During these hours, volunteers provide food services, material aid (including personal hygiene supplies and clothing), resource and referral assistance, computer help, access to our clothing room and public phone, emotional support, and facilitate various groups and workshops. Volunteers also have the opportunity to engage with guests individually or in small groups.
